An Underwater View

3D Modeler by Geraldine Dang I choose for the theme of my project an inspiration from both the two Disney movies "The Little Mermaid" and "Finding Nemo." I got inspired from the scenes from those 2 movies as they represent for me a time of happiness in a musical setting and the meaning of friendship when they all sing happily together and hope for a better world.  I want to make the music hall as in "The Little Mermaid" when Sebastian, the crab, read the music sheet and played the music. The starfishes from the sand are from the inspiration from "Finding Nemo." In my design, the big clam, the pearl and the sheet of music are the stage for the Music hall. I got the inspiration from using the idea of Sebastian and the Big Clam. The pearl on the clam represents the Hope. I try to express this feeling through the rays of sunshine shining from the sky through the ocean waters. I also use the idea from "The Little Mermaid" where the mermaids used the clams as seats, I changed the 3 small clams to represent the drums, as musical instruments. The starfishes in "The Little Mermaid" movie were the dancers for the mermaids. In this setting, I want to show them resting from the dance. The starfishes represent the friendship, the dancers dancing together as music is for dancing and enjoying together.  I aim to achieve the quality of the movie by picking out what the movie meant best to me, happiness, friendship and hope for a better world together, and rearrange the different elements (the pearl, the Clams, the Music sheet, the starfishes , the sunshine rays, the beautiful ocean) in a Musical Hall setting.
